I Got the same problem, but i solved it by closing msiafterburner and rivatunerstatisticserver, and i had the same d3d9.dll error in the events manager.

in case you guys don't use msi afterburner and rivatuner then no clue why it doesn't work

The sfc /scannow might have fixed the problem a little bit, I have to restart the trainer like 2 or 3 times then the trainer is not auto closing. It's an inconvenience but at least when the trainer is staying it stays for the rest of the session. Edit: After what jackbig said about RTSS, it seemed that it was indeed RTSS causing the issue even if my event viewer was also saying it was a framework error. Thank you very much I wouldn't have known.

Good to see that it helped, but i got also the solution, its rivatuner latest version itself that gives the problem, since custom 3d setting is greyed out in that version, so i installed 7.1.0 from guru3d website, and ticked the custom direct3d support, and now the trainer starts no problem.
