Hello. My PC updated with the new Microsoft Windows 10 cumulative KB4515384 today after which my newer trainers crash when I try to activate them. An example is the new Spyro Reignited Trilogy trainer and the ones for Resident Evil 2 Remake and Metro Exodus. I deleted the Cheat Happens folders in C: User folder and the AppData Roaming folder but it didn't help. I uninstalled the Windows update and they work again but it's only a matter of time before this update is mandatory. Is anyone else having this issue?

Does it silently crashes (disappears without any notice) or does it prompt any error message?

Silent, no error message. What's weird is it may actually activate after several attempts and I might get one or two options to turn on and function but then it closes. The option(s) I was able to activate will continue to work even though the trainer closes but I can'T activate any other options. One other thing; if I have the trainer open with or without the game running and I try to change a key binding by clicking the drop down next to the option the trainer instantly closes with no error message.

I will install the update tomorrow and see if I can reproduce your problem. Meanwhile you can checkout the event viewer of Windows. If there is a crash the event viewer will log it and its details are important for me to see what the problem might be.

Are you familiar with using the event viewer? Otherwise this might help: Link

You may also checkout running "sfc /scannow" and "chkdsk". Perhaps the update has broken a .NET Framework installation, wouldn't be the first time something like this happens.

Just a heads up; after running the scans you suggested Windows was full of corrupt files. I reinstalled Windows and all seems well even with the new update. Thank you for your suggestion. I was really at a loss.

Actually I have the same error as you and it's because of the Windows Update of .NET Framework in my event viewer (KB4511555 or KB4514359), exception c000001d, application error d3d9.dll 0xc000001d. I ran a CHKDSK and the problem persists.

I don't really know what to do in this case.

@Terry please also run "sfc /scannow" without quotes. If that still doesn't help please uninstall the windows update and wait for a fix by Microsoft.
