Editing the "Talent Points Spent" option did not at least leave me with a negative value after saving and loading. So that may very well be working perfectly. I guess I'll see only at level 5 when I get my next point. I did have to lower the "Talent Points" value to 1 after character creation, as the game seems to have calculated more points to me after I lowered the points spent.
Why is there no "Attribute Points Spent" option? I tried using CE to find the value myself, and did indeed find it, and it looked like it was working, but after saving and loading I was again in the negative values.
Do you think you will be able to add a "Attribute Points Spent" option? Or is that somehow different from talents and skills?

I just tested it again (I just landed on the island (after the prologue) ) and it seems to be working. It's strange, but if it works, so much the better.

As an example let's start out with maxing out skill (99), attribute (30), and talent (18) points.
Now, every X number of levels you are granted X number of either skill, attribute, or talent points.
All you have to do is go into the editor and offset the amount you gave yourself prior to leveling with the amount you earned after you leveled and the message goes away!
So if you have 99 skill points, and you earn 1 new skill point after leveling, change the editor to 98 skill points. Do this for attribute and talent points if you earn them too. When in doubt look at the number of unspent points you have (it'll be negative), that's the amount you minus from the editor value.
And lastly you can just lock your EXP to prevent yourself from leveling all together.

because literally you see the attribute points spent in each of the categories. there isn't an address holding the total of this. The game literally uses each category and adds them
