Hi,
The trainer launcher keeps on prompting me to install NET.CORE which I have. It keeps looping like this whenever I try to launch the trainer. I've restarted/shut-down my com a few times. Install and uninstalled NET. CORE and FRAME with no success. Help?
regarding trainer closing right after you run it, MAKE SURE TO INSTALL CORE DESKTOP RUNTIME 3.1!

Are you running a trainer you downloaded and it prompts the CHEATHAPPENS splashscreen, then suddenly closes? There is a reason!
Windows pushed out .net Core 3.1 Runtimes. Our trainers and a lot of software on the internet requires these Microsoft pre-requisites to be installed. Many games use these so some people may already have Core 3.1 installed. At any rate, this is safe and normal Microsoft libraries that their software and ours and many others use. Down the line it will likely be included in normal Windows 10 installs and updates. Once you do this, all our newest trainers that you download from now on will work, so it's do this once and then you are done with it.
Here are the links
dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-core/3.1/runtime/desktop/x64
dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-core/3.1/runtime/desktop/x86
Install both, then reboot, then try the trainer. Should be good to go.
I apologize that our trainer doesn't tell you that these are not on your system then prompt you to download them. We are still investigating why that doesn't happen, since Microsoft said that it would do this automatically.
We are using the newest and most efficient libraries as we continue to innovate and improve our trainers and our software and tools. This is one of the things that allows us to do that.
Anyways, thanks for your subscription and we look forward to bringing you more great trainers in 2020.
best,
Cal
Thanks for the above instructions. Installed all and rebooted. Still getting prompted to install NET. CORE (even though I have) after running the trainer.
To Specik and anyone having a similar problem.
Sorry this is coming a little late, but where are you geographically in the game? There have been a not insignificant number of reports on the Ubisoft forum of CTDs with Breakpoint since the last game patch, mainly related to being in the snowy biomes or high altitude areas of the game.
As an example, I am trying to complete a mission in the Jason Skell sub-trees to take out Ian Blake who is based on Avalanche Peak, however, as soon as I try playing in said area the game will crash within 2-5 minutes. I am running 32GB of RAM; a 6GB Nvidia 1060 and am playing on medium settings; however, Avalanche Peak just tanks the game as soon I try to play there. I've tried flying in, I've tried going by foot, but the moment I get near that place ... freeze ... CTD. 🤔
I know most of the reports also mention that AMD users are also being hit with this bug; usually, again, at high altitudes, using helicopters, and some even just trying to fast travel between biouvacs. I apologise that this post can't offer more help; Ubisoft haven't fixed the problem, they may not even know what the actual cause is as yet, but I hope the explanation alleviates any concerns that it's just you; it's not, it's an actual in-game bug apparently introduced with the last patch that some PC users are experiencing.
Hoping this clears up your situation.
Bon
