Windows Defender scan. on Feedback, Complaints or Problems Message Board - Page 1

Hi at CHU,
I had a Windows defender scan (without my knowledge) at 19:31 hours today 27th May I have been playing Hellgate 2018 all afternoon until the above time then constant crashing of game, tried the game with no trainer same crashing and this Windows Defender which I found had scanned and this seems to be the reason. Program:Win32/Uwamson.A!mI That is what i have copied from Windows Defender and in the risk is medium and it mentions CHU is it a False Positive if so why today after the latest scan, I have tried to uninstall Windows Defender same issue, I never have problems with your Trainers, can you shed some light on my problem.

You'll have to ask Microsoft why they decided to mark it as a false positive after all this time, we don't have the answer but the file is clean unless something on your pc infected it.

OK Chris, will do Just cannot understand after all this time and I have a list of the same issue it was only last night this happened Like I said, one big favor please can you give me the email address because you are familiar with this issue, it happened last year and you requested we contact Microsoft I would be very grateful for that address.

I have the same issue here.
Was using witcher 3 trainer since 7th sept each day - NO WARNINGS / no detection at all.
just today 14th sept windows defender released an alert for this file, i removed the alert using defender, tried other cheathappens files - nothing, no alert.

tested the witcher 3 file here virusscan.jotti.org/ and got 7/15 hits.

ran the witcher 3 file again - got defender alert again.
Since Win/32/Uwamson.A!ml is called to be a high risk - please check the files or let me know what to do.
