Tis a strange one! I can use Cosmos to set the wood, gold and max units to same as the trainer and it works fine every time. Use the trainer to Super Empire and it will crash every time (maybe in a minute, maybe in 10, but it will crash).
It is beyond me at this point, but at least I have a do-it-yourself solution! So thanks for Cosmos also!
just use the editor and don't use super empire then. Or toggle on to get effect then toggle back off.

Just a little tip for anyone like me who has been having trouble with the trainer crashing the game. The most important cheat is Super Empire, and thankfully it's the kind of cheat where you turn it on once and you're good to go for the rest of that particular mission. I've found that if I start the mission, hit NumPad1 (Super Empire) and then COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN THE TRAINER, I'm good to go for the rest of the mission. I have the benefit of the cheat, and the game doesn't crash. Yes, you'll have to go run the trainer again for the next mission, but at least it works. This even works using the current 1.0.1 trainer with the newest version of the game... 1.0.2.
No, you can't build faster or anything like that... but honestly the game is pretty easy anyway so I find the Super Empire cheat is really all I need. Hope that helps!
Ah, never mind! The game just updated to 1.0.3 and the 1.0.1 trainer no longer works. It's really a shame how the gaming industry has turned into a "ship now and patch later" mentality. I still remember a time when games were actually finished when they shipped.
If you remember those days your as old as I am. That being said, I am still having crash problems with 1.0.3 and the Steam version. I've tried using just "Super Empire" and shut off right after turning on and using just the editor with low values and after a few mins. (5 to 10) crashes every time.
If you or anyone finds what is really going on/or what I'm doing wrong, I would love to be able to use this trainer.
game patching every 12 hours incessantly since it came out. Let us know when this alpha that was released in this horrid broken mess is finally actually working without hotfixes in 2024.

I'm getting through the game just fine (1.0.3 trainer, 1.0.4 game) using the Super Empire cheat at the beginning of each level, then immediately shutting down the trainer. No crashes when I do that, and I keep the wood/gold/max population.
As for the arena/solo levels, I leave the trainer running and use the "editor" portion of the trainer to lock the main character's current health. Keep in mind that in the arena you'll have to do that when EACH new battle begins. When you win a battle and it resets for the next battle, you have to unlock/lock the main character's health again (and I mean his current health... NOT his max health).
Doing these two things I'm blowing thru the game with no crashing issues.

Oh, I forgot... don't just shut off the Super Empire cheat after activating it... actually CLOSE THE TRAINER. Alt-Tab back to it and shut it down. That takes care of the crashing issue.
