Thx for all the hard work. Apologies for my ignorance, but can someone define "freeze option on?"
I was guessing it meant leaving the option on through the next turn which could potentially allow a CPU-Player to utilize the function...but I wanted to check.
The freeze option is the lock icon to the left of the editor value names, like gold. Recommend not using this feature as it appears to affect the AI.
Trainer is for DX11 version and ONLY for Civ 6 with new DLC installed and enabled.
Also, best to activate the trainer with F1 only AFTER you are already in the game.
Directly from the README:
NOTE
=====
This trainer is for Civilization VI with the Gathering Storm Expansion ONLY! It will not work unless you own the Civilization VI Gathering Storm expansion and have it ENABLED in the "Additional Content" menu at the main menu. We NO LONGER support any other versions or expansions of the game, ONLY Civilization VI Gathering Storm will be supported from now on. This also means that if you only own vanilla Civilization VI with no expansions or only own the Rise and Fall expansion, this trainer will not work for you! You MUST own the Civilization VI Gathering Storm expansion and have it enabled!
This game dynamically loads and unloads and reloads the game .dll while you play, especially if you restart, or are loading or starting a new game. Please note that this means many options will no longer work and will need to be turned off and then turned back on, since the game is reloading the addresses in a new .dll. The best way to use this trainer is to wait until you start your game and are able to move units and click on cities BEFORE you activate the trainer. It's also best to close the trainer and restart the trainer if you restart the game, load a save, or do anything to start a new game or load a new game.
best,
Cal
Is there no way to have it work with DX12? DX11 looks ugly, terrain doesn't look good at all, just smeared.. I have a GTX970, no other modern games have that issue.
so far now, civ 6 has:
dx11, dx12
and then for EACH of those versions, a seperate .dll for
civ 6 vanilla
rise and fall
gathering storm
for a total of 6 separate games/.dlls, all of which operate differently and have different code. EVERY patch, we have to start over practically, so this is 6 times the work for one stupid title, the way these moronic developers released this. On top of that, they unload and reload the game .dll over and over again, forcing the options to stop working or the trainer needing to be closed and started over occasionally. Why? because, dumb..
So, in the essence of sanity, and me not retiring the series altogether, we picked DX11 and whatever is the most recent 'version of the game, which is now gathering storm expansion.
This is how it is going to remain, and will work for the most members' hardware setups.
Maybe in the next Civ, they won't do this kind of garbage, but if they do then we will continue to update and support along these same logic lines.
FYI,
Cal
You can't get more than 50k but I when I'm getting low on gold I just change it back 50k again and it works fine.
Actually you can get more than 50,000 gold, you can use CoSMOS editor to edit the gold. I just input 7,777,777 gold, cause any value kinda ruin or give you negative gold. I even edited/changed the charged of my Apostle to 9999 and the character that can buy tiles to 9999 so i can buy unlimited tiles. lol.
