ELITEmaleksan14 posted on Jul 14, 2026 8:52:06 PMWhen using the change cash option, I can add however much money I want, but then once I use it to purchase items ( using other item mods) I am unable to add any money once I exit and save the game. For example:
1. use the add money option to add 800 million.
2 spend 750 million buying items at traders ( using mods that give all the traders lots of items)
3. save game and exit with 50 million left
4. open saved game and try to add 800 million again. I get the activated voice but the money does not actually go up.
Thought it was some mod causing it but I removed multiple mods it stilled happened and I just tried it with a vanilla playthrough no mods giving myself a few hundred 100,000 and it happened so it doesn't seem to be mod related. Anyone else have this issue?
I'm also very specifcally never adding more than a billion dollars because I believe that is the max the game goes up to and I know I once kept adding money past that and once it reaches some number the game just crashes. -

Answering my own question. Turns out there was a mod that i was using giving all ships extra ship slots. Even when I disabled all mods this mod did not disable correctly. What I found out is that putting items in the extra slots from the mod causing the cash to go to ?? instead of a real number thus it could not be changed. once I removed items from those extra slots from the mod the cash options worked again. So nothing somes to be wrong with the trainer. -

Likely have to find the ID and change something into those things then change the amount.

Try to disable the overlay in trainers settings.
