You can try this but if not, will probably need another update.

Delete trainer and all files in

C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\Temp
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\Cheathappens\Work
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Roaming\Cheat Happens\0x90

Reboot PC to clear excess memory, get a fresh copy of latest trainer and
make sure trainer is in a folder excluded from virus scans. Empty quarantine folder if needed.

C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\Cheathappens

may need to be added to exclusions as well. Run trainer as admin, read the instructions and try again.

Have both latest CORE Link (Both of the Net-Core MUST be installed x86 and x64) and FRAMEWORK Link from Microsoft.

I'm having a similar issue with the fast build option, and fast scan.

When switched on, there is no audible notification that they are activated, and then, when accessing the in-game PDA, or trying to save the game, they cause the game to either lock up, or CTD.

Without either of these options turned on, I have no issues at all running the game. I use health, oxygen, food, water, battery, and craft with no issues (trainer is run in admin mode).

Hi Treker! Try using the trainer to enable to dev console. All of the Fast options are in there. Try using them there instead of from the trainer.
Just an idea.

When you use Misc Fast Grow the plants does not grow and it breaks Easy craft when you use the habitat builder where you cannot construct or even destruct anything when you enable Fast Grow I have tested it 3 times and the game ends up crashing soon afterwords
I have also use the report trainer needs updated and posted this exact comment in it as well...

The game just got a new update, 3.2 gigs with a new story and intro, I',m going to test out the trainer I will see if it need's an update.

Easy craft is crashing the game to the desktop every time. I have cleared all my Cheathappens folders, running as admin, downloaded .net runtimes, etc.

The other cheats are working ok for me. It is just when I click easy craft, the game crashes.

This is for the April 2020 27520 build updated today, May 1st, 2020.
