I'm glad you finally figured out your old game! Actually I had been trying to think of an old game I played as a kid. I had finally found it too! My dad was still alive then and we'd all get to laughing about this game because of the funny sounds etc.
We had it on Sega CD. This is a video of it.

It seems crazy to think that something like that back then was "wow"... xD
