Being it was made as a stand alone MULTIPLAYER expansion, the values are probably saved server side. Can you even play this offline, unplugged from the internet by yourself? If the answer is no, I refer you to:

Yes, it is possible to play this offline. However, that isn't the reason to stay offline. Being online allows friends to join your server. I know that it's server side since I'm the one hosting it. I know the difference between an online game and hosted game. This game is not a MULTIPLAYER expansion. It's a complete stand alone game, separate from Don't Starve.
The CheatHappens Trainer is Retired, so it's no longer up to date. This should mean that it's possible so long as they didn't patch the method CH used in the past. Did you have any luck trying or did you just assume I'm an idiot and repost the last section of your message?

Since you didn't bother to read any info on the games page, Trainer was retired as it has it's own built in cheats.
