the relationship option how do you use that did everything for the max skill button to different numbers, still the same relation stats in game, am i doing something wrong? apart from that everything else works ok

I think you need to change your relationship level with a faction to actually see the changing.

For instance, go send a trading ship in a faction's sector doing auto-trading to see your rep raise with that particular faction.

The relationship MUST appear on BOTH sides (player -> others, others -> player). If you add the desired faction, you must also edit the raw savegame. Go to the faction you have added and add a relationship towards the player with the same number.

Maybe it's just me, ALL of the savegame editor seems to work (Not tried putting stuff in inventory though.), however, I can't get the Factions Relations to work.
I click all the right boxes. I can see Argon that I've chosen to edit,and next to is the number 20, the level at which I want that faction to "love me by", but after saving and going back into the game, it's still not changed.
Everything else I've tried and used seems to work flawlessly. Great trainer, thank you :-)

I did that as well.

Literally added:

relation faction="player" relation="1"

Under argon and

relation faction="argon" relation="1"

Under player

Still didn't offer me a promotion. Tried it under different factions as well. In game it does show "30 allied" and they even greet me as a friend, but they do no promote me to friend or ally. I even tried to "bump" the relations by doing a quest but still nothing.
