I know I am just sad about my-our economy situation here. 100€ can be easily 25% of a monthly salary. And what a liftime membership is for if i can not buy games?

Was bound to happen at one point. To be honest you guys are really fair by announcing it in advance and still having the lifetime subscription as an option to buy for the remainder of the year, thus locking in the benifits.

I have never regretted my lifetime membership here. As an old fogey, I no longer have the time for game grinds/etc, so this site has allowed me to continue to enjoy one of the best things of gaming (for me), which is the stories, and the brief escapes from reality they afford me. I can tailor almost every single player game (don't have time for MP anyway) to my taste in terms of difficulty/time requirements/enjoyment.

FWIW, the new structure seems unnecessarily complex. Too many tiers, too many options, too many conditions/stipulations/etc. I also think that (if I understood it correctly) if you pay a single monthly membership fee and are limited to 5 trainers in that month, then I (personally) would take it as indecent if you were to tell me that those 5 trainers will only work for that month, unless I pay again. I think those 5 should work on the specific computer where they were downloaded for as long as they're on that system.

In any case, I love your site and understand the underlying reasons for your decisions to tweak things.

As a curious side note, I think it would be neat if there was a system where those who are paying members with monthly download limits could occasionally ask for a free download that is to be 'sponsored' by a lifetime member, at some 'penalty' to the lifetime member perhaps, like I wouldn't be able to download a trainer for 5 days if I 'donated' one to another member.

I realize this would cause additional programming/database work, so probably not really feasible, but it might expand on the community aspect of this site.

Agreed and I congratulate them on this new structure, we the long time members and supports of CH seen and experienced the quality and service and structure of CH and their Trainers, which I think is the best out there. As long as CH is there I'm there, it's worth every penny.

Thanks to the graciousness of Cheathappens, it fortunately doesn't effect me as I already have a Lifetime membership. I have often thought of upgrading to a Lifetime plus set, on a as I need to basis and should I have the cash for it. For the others, you will need to see if it's worth it for you. I would suggest planning out your gaming schedule a bit. And then, grab a pro yearly membership. This would be of the most value.

An important current thing that Cheathappens need to think about is the game industry. Now everyone wants to compete to be an online game distributor. What this means, is that Steam might not be the predominant player anymore. Games are now opened to the Epic games store platform and Discord, with Epic games getting a fair number of exclusives. Will you be supporting these platforms too? Because I presume many players may be there too.
