Capcom has nothing to prove to anyone, that's a completely false assumption.
Good for health, bad for education.

Alright, if you say so. I stand corrected. *nods*

In the EULA, they mention modifying/disassembling the source code if I recall. I don't believe that stretches to memory editing of the executable, but I'm not all knowing.

You will either see the game go back to active and a new trainer posted or to red for retired once we make a final decision after consulting with our legal team. You guys are all off base for the reasons they are asking the trainer to be removed and why it is being considered. We don't take these things lightly so please give us time to formulate a proper response.

Hi,
yesterday i tried downgrading MHW to the 160018 Update. That would've been perfect, cause you're forced to play offline and can't cheat online. And, of course, you can use the trainer and editor.
But sadly i can't get past the Intro. The Mainmenu never comes up. The strange thing is, i played MHW almost always in offlinemode (with steam offline), because i was afraid of sudden updates for the game. It worked, i played an old version of the game for about a week. The new patch got me offguard, wasn't carefull and steam (in onlinemode) forced it onto me... 😭
So if the trainer retires, that's just the way it is. Be mature about it and think about what the CH Team has to deal with if capcom gets mad.
Maybe someone gets the game downgraded and working.
Regards Spirit

@SpiritNRW
You cannot downgrade MHW as easily as other titles on Steam because each update not only changes the .exe but also the chunk files. In other words, nearly then entire game. Using an old exe with new chunk files is asking for crashes since the indexing differs slightly between builds. To properly downgrade, you would need to practically download the entire game in the old version, and I do not think that is possible.
@PWizard Once you folks have made a decision, and if your legal counsel allows you to, I would really love to hear the actual reason for Capcom targetting CH. Yes, I am a curious person. I tend to ask "Why?" quite often.

@SpiritWolf448
Yeah, thought its worth a try. I downloaded the "old" game version with steam console. Found a guide on google. It was actually the full game with all the files. But i think you're right. There seems to be some kind of securityfunction implemented, to keep people from downgrading. As soon as the new update hits your game, you're doomed 😆
