When u get a bit later into the game, a resource called orichalcum ore is used to buy this games version of loot boxes. Would be nice to see an option to add more of this resource. I can provide a savegame if its possible.

Can you provide a savegame with this resource?

I included the entire folder for the game, but of course, you can use the latest save. I only have 1 personally thus far.

You can get to the vendor in Pilgrims Landing -Northwest of where the latest save is taken

[Edited by Victory, 10/2/2018 3:50:08 AM]

these loot boxes, is this something that you can buy more of this resource with REAL MONEY at the UPLAY STORE?

I have a feeling that this is treading on dangerous territory.

We know, also, from the last several games in this series, that the savegames are not shareable... I'd have to play more and more hours...

how far along in the game do we get this resource? Where is it spent? Can I see how many I have right now (I am still on the first island)?

    best,
    Cal

You earn them in-game only. It's another currency and will appear right next to your gold in your inventory. You can access it right after you get your actual ship and start to head off to handle your first assassination mission given to you from the guy in blue.

prnt.sc/l1d31t - Here is location including the starter island

prnt.sc/l1d3ba - The actual vendor is the weird blue icon

I can confirm without a doubt that not only is your currency stored online, but also the price s of the items you are buying.

I looked at this for quite awhile.

There will be no cheats for this currency.

    best,
    Cal

I wonder if we'll see an in-game RNG loot box NPC like in Origins, where we could use in-game currency from the trainer to get those items.

I already posted that this cannot be done. It's controlled on the server.

    best,
    Cal

I was wondering about if the game will have a specific NPC later on, like the previous one did. Not whether we can get helix credits. I was never asking about helix credits. Was just wondering out loud in the thread. ACO had the kid that sold RNG items.

Wasn't asking for online currency, as that's just a good way to get more anti-trainer actions from ubisoft and an account ban as well. That's what my statement was saying. Heka chests were the helix store items sold for gold. Totally an in-game and non-online feature. You couldn't buy them with anything but the in-game only currency. It was never tied to the online helix store except for the items you could potentially get.

Again, I'm not asking for any online currency. Just discussing a previous feature of the series that I haven't seen yet in ACOd.

Well there's a dedicated store that sells the helix store items. It's just a special currency which I believe was the same one that Cal was talking about.

Regardless I do hope that Ubisoft implement a store that do sell these items and can be purchased with the ingame gold. I don't mind paying like 5-10k per box, but using that random and hard to get currency is just a slap to the face. The box does not necessarily give that good of items to justify farming for that currency. That's just my opinion though

The vendor that uses currency is the one that sells the loot boxes in this game. They made it cost this server-side currency instead of easily-hackable gold this time around.

That stinks. Heka Chests being totally in-game-currency based was a pretty nice thing to have, if you weren't buying their helix crap. Sad to see that is gone in this one. Oh well.

The option was turned off, it happened anyway. Either way, I think the issue was with my game, I verified the game files, and now i'm not having the problem anymore.

I'm gradually using the XP cheat to avoid skipping story missions as the CH instructions recommend. So I'm holding at Level 5 for now while I explore around. I'm not really playing for the story very much, I'm into exploration and graphics.

I'm heading to Athens to map that area and I was just wondering if anyone had advice as to when I can max out Exp level and still have all or almost all areas unlocked. So I don't want to skip any missions that are needed to unlock an area. I'm winging it for now so maybe that's good enough, not sure.

Edit: Ah I think I can probably use a YouTube walkthrough of the missions for this unless anyone has something add about it.

I had to go back a few saves (yeah, I am making sure to save often) because I found I had a ton 40 lists of the same armor that spawned. I think it was me using the gold option when in a menu or hitting another key on accident. No big deal. Went back a while and just did 1 larger gold give and went from there.

I'm only using health, breath when needed, and skill cooldown. Just enjoying myself and the exploration mode overall. Will make a profile that disables all other keys on my keyboard tomorrow, since fat finger hitting the keyboard could cause issues. 😉
