I still play it myself ive put in over 2000 hours with a group but at the moment I seem to be playing the offl;ine mode a lot more to just try new things loot more aeras and run and hide from zombies a lot more
the game is still alive and kicking and the amount of players on at any time is only those online according to the devs and the dev page yes the early access is gone on far too long but since dean hall and the lead artist left and other people have taken over the project we have had bigger updates, more reports , more communication and a lot more bug fixs I just hope they put more effort in... having vehicals back a large mod support and more weapons would keep me hooked for another 2k hours
2000 hours is pretty insane, not gonna lie awol_bush, i have about 100 hours into the game and i do enjoy playing it from time to time. Well hopefully and eventually the game becomes fully stable and out of beta mode.
personally this is just nuts.. how do you even call something early access after 5 years. I don't think it's wise for our site to be going down this path with a game that is likely to never be finished and is clearly just a never ending work in progress.. almost all the reviews, even after all this time, are negative.
I think they are going 'offline' mode because the well ran out and people have left the game, due to it's never finished state and likely can't sell the game due to nobody playing it online any more...

I wonder if this is the right thread. On December 13th 2018, a few days ago, theu released on Steam a game that I bought as DayZ 1.0, I would assume it is not the same you have been discussing so long, I requested a trainer for it, then I saw the game was retired. I was wondering how would it be possible, as the game was only released 3 days ago...
My credits were deducted, I am yet to see the trainer for the game in the queue, if at all.
Many thanks for any and all news regarding this matter, it could well be possible that this is a new game with unfortunately the same name.

no it's not. it's out of early access so steam resets the release date. you can look at updates and see its clearly the same game.

Can you play the game singleplayer without any internet connection? the store page stills says Online PVP and we do not make trainers for Online games.
