Another thing that could crash your machine is if it's specifications are too low, it would barely let you play your game but as soon you add something/anything...crash ensue 🙁

Good tips. I have whitelisted all the relevant areas on my PC per instructions around here for trainers.

My hardware well exceeds all specs and requirements for this game. It's such a bizarre specific little quirk. I'm not going to reinvent the wheel for it. 😉

I know I'm not alone with the issue, either, as anyone will see with a quick search of that error message.

All I know is that I played for north of 90 minutes again last night without the trainer and hacked and did what I wanted with abandon and the issue never happened.

If the trainer is on and option 4 is on I know I can hack once and maybe get away with it and certainly by hack instance 2 or hack instance 3 I get the error and the crash. It *seems* to be that specific.

Bizarre. 🤔

If I followed your explanation correctly, the easiest would be when you're using:

Numpad 8:Longer Hacking Timer - toggle this on BEFORE you enter
a computer that requires hacking the password, etc., and
toggle back off once the hacking procedure begins. You
will have much more time to complete the hack. The timer
may drop to zero but you can still hack for quite a bit
longer.

disable:

Numpad 4:Unlimited Ammo/Items - toggle on and when you fire weapons,
reload, or use consumables such as food or healthkits, the
value will not lower for most items and weapons.

Do not forget to put it back on after the hack, hopefully this little trick will help 😉

I can confirm that all "Additional time for hacking" options cause me to crash. This has been the case since release, on all three of my computers. When I turn on "more time to hack" ... I crash within 1-10 minutes. This is still the case on my freshly-built win10 install PC. I hadn't seen any other people calling out this issue, so I thought it was just me.

My current solution: I downloaded a mod from the nexus that removes hacking difficulty, or just extends the timer to infinite. Since I stopped using the timer function, I have not crashed in the last 29 hours of actively playing. In all cases, I experienced the same crash message of "Memory at location insertRandomLocationHere cannot be read" - All other options work flawlessly, but anything timer oriented makes it explode.

Please use the update notification system to report a game patch, update or to report that the trainer may not be working with the latest version of the game. If 3 or more reports have been filed, consider BOOSTING the priority of this title for a faster turnaround on the updated trainer.

The trainer works fine except for that one option. Its been doing the same thing with all game versions and the respective trainers re-done for each patch since the game released in 2017 (or at least all game versions I've played, I've done 4 play-throughs total so far, each a number of months apart, so I'm sure I've missed a few versions)

If crash logs would help, I'd be happy to crash a few times and toss some your way.

Crash logs and game saves would help, but still file a report as they are busy and don't always get a chance to read the individual threads/posts in full.
