It would certainly be more difficult to navigate, Jaks, if it follows the pattern of their previous games. The console was always a good equaliser to the pre-patched state of the games. I'd guess an always online model could also impact the chances of the Unofficial Patches... which would also be a shame.

Its not a mmo. It comes with MP and SP but connected online. We need to see if the data is kept on server or client side to determine viability.

Agreed. That and over the years I've come to think of console commands as iconic to their games and part of the gameplay appeal. It will be interesting to see what they actually give us.

@Jaks

I do not see this game being trainable, so I'll just get it on PS4 since I know a few people who'll get it, gotta have people to play with, sure you can go solo, but the odds of survival are minimal. What a shame, I LOVE playing these kinds of games on PC, for the console commands, and trainers... I don't mind sticking with Fallout 4 on my PC.. and I'll really appreciate the console command functions much more now that 76 is going in an entirely different direction.

Yeah, that's too bad. While there's no shortage of games to spend money on these days, I guess FO-76 just won't be one of them. It sucks but there's not much we can do about it other than pass on it. Not everybody will, but I will.

With Todd Howard talking about servers in the video I saw, I have a little hope that you can play solely with people you choose to play with... in which case a server could be made up of people who are specifically looking for an advantage and therefore will cooperate rather than needlessly grief.

So I might end up getting it after all... but it depends entirely on that point at the moment.

What would be the point of playing solo in a game meant for PVP. Remember this is not a classic Fallout game, but an Online Sandbox spinoff that will not have a storyline or NPC's.
