Tried the suggestions CALIBER suggested still trying to update every second also lost desktop icon. Is there a way to completely uninstall and reinstall

Go to folder with Trainer Manager xx.exe, delete the folders:

AltNames
Archive
CRC
Favorite
SiteLink

then run the exe again and create a shortcut and copy and paste to desktop.

Could it possibly be your security software or firewall? TM needs to connect to the site to compare the trainer versions, if it is not white listed or able to go through your firewall that may cause it.
