I've tried everything I have read in here to get it to work and I still get "Trainer cannot find game" Is there something I'm just missing? I've launched the game even started a game and closed out hit f1 it starts to launch the game and right before it opens up fully I get the message about not finding the game. The only thing I'm wondering if it happens for other people is every time I launch with or without the trainer the game says its installing directx, is that normal?
The CH team is currently working to address the problem per a page or two ago.
If the game says it's installing DirectX when you go to launch it, it's running through setup procedures. Have you allowed it to run first without the trainer? It has first time launch setup procedures to do and the instructions clearly say to launch the game without the trainer first.
Ok, quick update for all...
I have finally was able to activate the trainer and just wanted to share with u all what I did.
I have the steam version.
1) Completely disable windows defender antivirus.
2) forcibly quit UPlay(if it is running the background)
3) Close steam (if it is running in the background)
Then press F1.
The trainer will start the UPlay and then the Steam, you will then get Steam pop up screen asking you to approve running the game in "uplay mode".
Press OK and the game should start and you should hear "trainer activated".
I think disabling the antivirus was what did the trick for me. I don't know if it will help all of you, but maybe some of you... ;-)
Not necessary to do all that, Just need to exclude the trainer in your AV programs. In my case it was Malwarebytes and Eset, and run trainer as Admin. If you need help with that please PM me and I'll happily help with set up.
