Is there some way to go back to the old method of launching the game then activating the Trainer ?
Using the Trainer to Launch Far Cry 5 means you cannot use the Trainer in Co-op with friends.
I have tried it several times and the game crashes or the Trainer does not work. In Far Cry 3 & 4 I could use the Trainer in Co-op with friends. Thank you for your time.
The trainer is meant for SINGLE PLAYER ONLY. CH team doesn't condone cheating in any form of co-op or multiplayer environment. Those previous trainers were not meant to work in those types of environs, either. Using them as such could put your Steam account at jeopardy for getting VAC banned or banned entirely.
Same a before, "Trainer cannot find game". Yes, I've done all of the suggestions, even the "this is what worked for me" posts. I'll just keep waiting.
That sounds really frustrating. I was having that issue a lot: I'd press F1 to launch through the trainer, the far cry logo would pop up, then it would say "Trainer could not find game" and everything would close out. I re-read the documentation and realized I didn't have Uplay running when trying to launch through the trainer; I had closed out of everything.
That may not be helpful to you, but that's my two cents worth of experience.
Hopefully this will help anyone still having problems starting the trainer. First I double click the trainer and do not press F1. Then I start Far Cry 5 and shut down the game once I reach the main menu. I Then press F1 and play normally.
Holy flipping crap, this finally worked for me. Thanks a bunch.

Oddly, it worked for me after just persistence in trying this same thing. That and I turned off Norton's firewall. Maybe FC5 or Steam just got tired of putting up with my antics. Not sure which did the trick, as I already nuked the AV on this one. We'll see for the next time I try to start it up. All options work that I can tell!
Great job and work put in on this on CH team - though it may not mean much from us leeches (even us paying leeches), we appreciate it nonetheless.
