You are using a cheat program in a game that was made not to be cheated, guess what, this involves hoop jumping, not jumping through hoops is called playing the game normally the way developers intended it to be played.

Jump through hoops? CH jumped through ridiculous hoops to make this trainer happen, and all we have to do is use Uplay and a relatively straightforward installation directory to make it work.

Uplay has come a long way since its horror days. It looks alright, offers faster download speeds than Steam from my experience (12MB/s compared 10MB/s) and does normal stuff like auto updating. What more do you really need? It won't affect co-op with friends because you both are using Uplay accounts to find each other anyway.

I'm confused. If you own the game on steam and its not installed in your steam library and you go to uplay and click download from there, its still actually downloading it to your steam library. How does that make any difference?

Whoa, whoa.. calm down fanboys. It's alright. I'm not trying to insult your precious Uplay or trainer.

All I'm saying is that there are issues that need to be resolved. I think I figured out which one.

It's the instructions.

First of all, it really needs to be rewritten to be more clear. Right now it's kind of a hodge-podge of thoughts.

I finally managed to get this to work after two file checks, three reboots and a ton of patience. When, all it would have taken were clearer instructions.

1. Start with a clean boot
2. Do a file integrity check (especially if the trainer failed recently, my FarCry wasn't working AT ALL after a failed run on the trainer or two even trying to launch it without the trainer wasn't working)
3. Run the game once without the trainer (mostly to make sure it actually works, but also to open Uplay or Steam or anything else needed to run the game)
4. Exit the game (DO NOT open or close Uplay or Steam or open them or anything else. Leave them at the default state)
5. Start the trainer and press F1. Don't press F2, don't mess with the directories, etc.

And that, at least with this current try, allowed the trainer to work.

Granted, things like setting the number of perks and money are a bit wonky (the number of perks doesn't change, but at least it becomes unlimited) I was able to get the money to update after a few toggles on and off in the menu screen then picking up some money.

So, there you have it. Hopefully that helps someone. I haven't tried closing the game and relaunching it or anything. I didn't want to screw up what I have going, lol.

Haven't had any problems with the trainer, I use the STEAM version. From what I've noticed, it works in a similar fashion to the trainer for Ghost Recon: Wildlands which also worked just fine. Their instructions on how to run it made sense to me, I followed them, and the trainer worked like they said it would. I have my STEAM games in a separate partition than my OS is in, and didn't have to manually find the FC5 folder. Kasperky hasn't given me any grief with it either.

Been running around with infinite ammo, the never ending potions, and having a fun time. Props to the CH team for their work, it's much appreciated.

They aren't being fanboys, being negative or rude to the staff has led to the retirement of trainers in the past, due to someone acting like the trainer was inconvenient to use, or not required, ect.. They are mostly just saying not to be the guy who gets the trainer retired by being nasty to the staff because it doesn't work the way YOU want it to. I know some people are having issues, and I also know that the CH staff is working to make sure things work properly for everyone. Just be mad at EAC and Ubisoft for the garbage heap of code that these guys have to fight through so you can play a singleplayer game the way you want.

+1 on trainer cannot launch game

I know folks that make these work hard on the trainers, and I don't doubt this one will continue to get better

I open the trainer, steam is also open. I have tried all of your solutions, such as verifying game file integrity, closing steam and Uplay, and restarting my PC but whenever I press F1 with the game CLOSED, the little menu that I am supposed to click "OK" at does not pop up, the game just starts up but then closes because the trainer says "Trainer could not find game". What is the problem with it, or am I doing something wrong?
