Putting my 2 cents in. Its not the game makers fault for this. Its those that hack the mp n online games that forced the hand. We are in the grey area as SP in not the main focus these days. We are fighting a losing battle and Ubi know people will pay and the money talks more to them. Am here but its not going to change much.

You make good points but I do not think that is the reason, it is definitely because of microtransactions. Like you said it is all about the money. But I do not think we are in a grey area, for me personally I use trainers so I can explore the entire game without having to put hundreds of hours into it. I do not have the luxury of time. For me trainers are a blessing, as an adult who works long hours but is still a gaming enthusiast, this is the only thing that makes gaming possible for me. These microtransactions are directed at adults who don't have time to grind for these items in the game, I am just saying these gaming companies take advantage of us. This tactic is scaring away core customers who made these companies what they are today. We all need to fight for this or else the gaming industry will become just a dark, greedy reflection of what it was.

I work full time and I put in nearly every bit of free time into my games to. I personally do not mind the grind. But I do like the freedom a trainer can give. But with SP games. Focus is slowly shifting to Co-op/mp style games. As these bring in the monies from the added extras. Yes some games have been bypass legally but it takes time. Some haven't n we are left swaying in the wind hoping for rain like a dry crop field. We can fight but it is like I said uni will only end up listening to those that go take my money. Sad state but it is what it is. It's a combination of money and hackers that hack mp side of gaming. That uni put a fight up. I bet if they did they might end up blocking the extras from SP side which would the remove a lot of content am guessing. Am only speculating on that. As if it was me I would probably go right you wanna cheat/trainer the game well all this you can't have. Time will tell. It's gonna suck but hey people will ruin it for other folk.

I've added my two cents, but honestly, Ubisoft aren't a company who listens to their customers unless the game is underperforming - and FarCry 5 is not underperforming. I have no plans to buy the game because the last few have been kind of 'meh' for me, but it sucks to see the CH staff have to deal with nonsensical challenges that were so quickly surpassed by harsher methods.

I should say nonsensical challenges that could otherwise be avoided with an offline mode - because obviously there is sense in protecting a game that involves more than just yourself.

FYI, if you bought the game, Ubisoft has already won.

I never buy a game until CH has a good trainer for it. I haven't bought Far Cry 5 and have now taken it off my wish list, despite your reportedly excellent trainer. The game publisher has lost my respect.

My reasons for trainers are because I have disabilities and find playing most games extremely frustrating without the help offered by the trainers.
