So now we have multiple games with EAC, the others were bypassed by specific method that cheat happens used but this one is now stuck. So with more games coming with EAC (which I don't know why it should be used for a single player mode) is the trainer environment getting outmaneuvered?

Edit: I have just requested a refund through steam. I will speak with my wallet about having EAC enabled for a single player game...that's just stupid.

I would say its not being outmaneuvered, the simple fact is that Ubisoft is trying to get you to buy their Silver Bricks or whatever the currency is to pay for stuff in game. If you can use a trainer for full armor/health you have more cash to spend towards in game items and less incentive to purchase stuff with real currency during the game. Same with weapons and upgrades they are saturating the single player portion of this game with useless micro transactions as if the 60$ premium isn't enough.

Yeah I put in for a refund as well. I already boycott EA for their greed and looks like I might have to do the same for ubisoft. I play games as a hobby to relax and unwind from work and bills etc. I'm starting to find myself sick of games as they keep trying to take more and more of my money and they aren't even as polished as they used to be.

There should be an awards for game developers by gamers in acknowledging their contribution to the independent gaming community.

This would include awards for making games that aren't hampered down with unnecessary invasive DRM, games that are designed with a fantastic array of customizable settings for various systems, games that you can mod, games you can use quality of life modifications on for people who are disabled and or not game-abled.

Anything to further acknowledge developers taking a risk for their fans and selling a good product to boot.

Guaranteed most of the winners would be independent development studios. AAA Studios don't make better games. They make more expensive games.

While I agree totally with the sentiments, I don't understand why people still pay full price for so many games.

Trainer issues, Early Access, patching and cost combine to make it an often curious investment.

I quit paying full price over 3 years ago. Now I just wait for a sale of at least 45% and with but few exceptions, the longest I usually have to wait for a game is 45 to 60 days. With inventories of 400 or more games and many unplayed, there's always plenty to play to keep busy.

The net result is on average like buying two games and getting three. And by then game reviews are coming in, trainers are fine-tuned and games are working better than when released after some of the bugs and glitches are worked out.

With some games and Season's Passes at $80 to $100 these days, people expect perfection and Game of The Decade quality. At sale pricing, a lot of that pressure is gone.

Yeah, EAC is going to be a problem for the future.
Devs and pubs have no controll over bans, and the only thing to do to get your game to work after a ban is to make a new account and buy the game again.
And, you can get banned by using a mod on games that support modding.
Its getting back to the starfire? and some of the other more invasive drm, that actually stopped you from playing that specific game, or other games that used them you had installed. And, some components dont get fully uninstalled. Or, it uninstalls with 1 game you uninstall but you need it installed with another game and it breaks that other game. I have had the latter happen to me uninstalling vermintide 2, and wildlands would not work anymore, had to fix eac. And, you have to go to eac to get anything fixed, and they have no idea about the games at all, just thier drm scheme. It is a big frikin joke, one I dont want to deal with. Then, if they go out of business, like gfwl, you lose ALL those games that used it. Booger drm, I have been burned in the past, before I knew about cheats or nocd cracks or anything like that, just installed and played normal.
