From what I can tell from the Steam forums - DMC1 has crashing issues so it may not be related to having the trainer running. People say DMC1 just hard crashes to desktop over and over again (and some say the same for DMC3 as well but not as bad it seems).

So, it may not be the trainer itself causing the crashing for you guys. Maybe?

Not sure why, but I can't even open up the trainer now. I can open every other trainer that I have, just not this one.

And yes, I have all the antivirus disabled, etc etc that goes along with your troubleshooting.

Maybe you can try to leave your security software enabled, have a folder in which you store your trainers, exclude this folder from any scans, move the downloaded zip file into this folder, extract it and launch it there?

The trainer is fine.

I hadn't heard about the issues with DMC1. But still, the game works like a dream as long as I don't activate the trainer. The literal second I hit F1 to activate while in-game (or if I go in-game after activating at the main menu), the game will crash to desktop without fail. So regardless of DMC1's own issues, I think this one really is trainer related.

So hopefully the new version will work better. Thanks for the quick follow-up, guys!

I enabled my security software, added exceptions for the folders, and tried to launch it from there. It didn't make a difference. I also tried through the Trainer Manager.

The trainer gets as far as showing the CheatHappens start up logo, and then it closes out without launching the trainer itself. I deleted it and redownloaded it about 3 times, and I still can't get it to work.

Alternatively, I'd just downloaded the new FFXV trainer, and it boots up just fine.

Okay so after completely uninstalling Trainer Manager and the DMCHDC trainer, rebooting, reinstalling the TM and redownloading the DMCHD trainer, rebooting again, it is working.

I found that on DMC1, using the Infinite Health cheat makes Dante always at half-health. Is there any way to fix this?

I have a save with a fully upgraded health bar. If I provide that, will it help to update the trainer so that he is not so susceptible to being overpowered on harder difficulties?
