The fact they keep updating the game on the same day, or the day after the trainer gets updated is kind of crazy isn't it? I sadly also can't do anything without it crashing. I use the steam version as well.
I have even tried just activating the trainer but no cheats and it still crashes the game..... sounds like it's the trainer attaching itself to the game that's causing the issue but that's just a guess.

Mine worked fine. I used it last night with the free upgrades option.
I can never get that one to work it'll crash my game every single time I toggle it on...... sometimes I get into game for a few seconds and I did get credits to work but yeah having all sorts of issues with it crashing the game constantly 😭

If you are set in steam to be using the latest "experimental or test version" the updates for that will most likely stop the trainer from working. Or you are trying to use it ONLINE in multiplayer, which is a big no no, and that is causing it. Last resort, COMPLETELY remove the game and trainer and start from scratch and be sure to check the support page of your antivirus to make sure exclusions and any other turn off methods, have been done correctly.
I haven't been on mp with it I have only completed the tutorial and then tried to do solo missions but it will crash every time...... even if I only activate the trainer itself but nothing else go into solo and nearly instant crash and this is every single time without fail.

"I found out why it was crashing my game: I had to put the executable file white-listed in my anti-virus, even if the folder containing it was already white-listed"

I have already done these steps..... it is allowed through my AV and my FW there is nothing stopping the trainer at my end.
