Was there a recent TM update?

In the last 24 hrs it's suddenly become unusable for me. When I launch the TM it will hang my system and shortly thereafter all my monitors will flicker and go to black screens, back to a hung desktop and repeat until I alt-F4.

It appears it's trying to change resolution. I'm running 144hz 1440 monitors, I've reset the TM, I've reinstalled the TM, no recent Windows or other software updates that would be causing a conflict, disabled AV....

I'm at a lose to explain it. Anyone experience anything similar or is there a known fix?

There has been no TM update. Likely something else on your system updated, probably security or registry "cleaner" type software, which is causing your issues. No other complaints. I just launched it and it worked perfectly fine like always.

I had rebooted my system a half dozen times after this started happening and suddenly I get a "Windows is updating screen" on reboot. After the update it works again.

The update was a security update for Adobe Flash Player that needed a reboot to finish installing. Apparently something in the initial download/install wasn't playing nice.
