I have read a lot of the errors people are running into, and I did make sure that all the following criterias were met below...

It seems that no matter what, when I press F1 to activate the trainer I here "please wait" and when the trainer says "trainer activated" the game instantly crashes.

1) do you own the Rise and Fall Expansion? If not, it wont work
2) did you make sure it's Enabled? If not, it won't work.
3) are you loading a save of a game that wasn't Rise and Fall? If so, it won't work
4) did you activate the trainer at main menu? If you did, the trainer won't work
5) did you activate the trainer while in the game where you can see your units? If not, the trainer won't work

You do have created the suggested scan exclusions in ESET as described in the trainer's instructions and launched the trainer with admin rights?

Yes, exclusion is in place and I always run the trainer as admin

Is the trainer/work folder exempt from Cloud-powered scanning ESET LiveGrid®? May need to be turned off altogether.

I added that folder too and even turned off ESEST altogether and unfortunately, same exact thing happened.

Put in a support ticket and maybe a team viewer session would better help to sort it. In the meantime, lets start from scratch and

Delete trainer and all files in

C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\Temp
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\Cheathappens\Work
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Roaming\Cheat Happens\0x90

Reboot PC to clear excess memory. Next grab the free version of ccleaner and run both the cleaning tool and registry tool and reboot again. Verify the integrity of the game cache with STEAM then grab a fresh copy of the latest trainer, and run as admin again.

(may need to run the registry scan a few times or until there are no more issues that it can find)

I have been having the same problem. I have also tried to all of the suggestions above. :\

Please use the update notification system to report a game patch, update or to report that the trainer may not be working with the latest version of the game. If 3 or more reports have been filed, consider BOOSTING the priority of this title for a faster turnaround on the updated trainer.
