Why some developers use rootkit in their software?

Since we all know that rootkits are used to hide some process from the user(s) 🤔

While searching the potential risk on Google, I found this:

You might want to study the Sony BMG Copy Protection scandal as a case study as it is well documented from both sides (consumer and corporation). It's really an ideology battle as old as technology itself:

Sound to me that we're all doomed, especially using popular software maker giants as Windows and Mac/Apple for example, while the latest is well known to hide everything as a concept!

I think control-freak and power-monger would perfectly describe those inhuman conglomerates, we need to change the system before it kills us all (in short, to express the point of view of a well known Canadian scientist: David Suzuki Link )

Most popular games show a world where, we humans, survive a terrible cataclysm done by the powers of dictators and/or simpleton pushed too high in office, do we need to make it true in our realms?

I wouldn't say doomed. Inconvenienced, maybe. Civil rights and liberties abused, possibly. Doomed, definitely not. Besides, do you believe everything you see in video games? If so, I have a bridge in Brooklyn I'll sell you. Cheap too, just because I like you. 😀
