I logged in today and my plus membership is gone. What happened?

Did you sign up for a reoccuring plus membership? If not, your plus status has likely run out.
Please note that Lifetime membership is separate from Plus status. There is no Lifetime version of Plus status.

No I have it set for reoccurring and it is still active on my paypal. Also, I HAVE been doing the plus since it started with no trouble.
And of course I know the difference...

Nevermind, I just went ahead and resubscribed. Don't know what the issue was.
I had to cancel my original payment from Aug 2015 and resubscribe, what a pain.

No, you are fine, I was just trying to figure it out and wanted to stay subscribed. No worries. Enjoy your holiday.
Also, I wasn't asking you to do it right now, I was just asking why my plus membership got cancelled and I had to re subscribe. You could have checked when you wanted too.
