Well, the only other I'm familiar with is AVG (used the free version for many years prior to Bitdefender) and only had one major problem with them which was when my PC got hacked and they disabled AVG I'm just so lost when it comes to these things, a powerful Anti-Virus with an easy exclusion system that doesn't consume my entire PC like a black hole would be nice. I'm not sure what you meant with the second comment though.

The idea about the 2nd comment is the usability for a daily user. How long does it take to find your way around.

Stay with Bitdefender. It's an overall good product (still) which is customizable to your needs with a great security performance and at an affordable prize tag. (No, I'm getting no commission from them)

But how do I stop them from deleting my game executables when I try to use trainers? :/ Just disable it whenever I use them?

Create 1 folder (preferably in a location not monitored by either BD's Safe Files module or Windows Defender's Controlled Folder Access (if you have it enabled), store all our trainers in there, exclude this folder in the BD Anti Virus module and use shortcuts if you like to launch a trainer from the Desktop or our Trainer Manager (Link

For our current trainers with the black/white user interface exclude the Work folder as well -> C:\Users\YourWindowsUserName\Cheathappens\

And yes, every time you want to use a trainer, you need to disable the Advanced Threat Defense module and enable it back again afterwards. You can disable the notifications though (BD's Settings -> Advanced -> Configure Status Alerts -> change ADT status to Off). - Or you know what you do and what files you use on your PC and disable this module for good.

I had a similar issue with Kaspersky so all I did was exclude my base games folder with all my trainers/mods/managers and it won't even touch it anymore. Worked well. Definitely would recommend Kaspersky.
