We at Cheat Happens just wanted to send a special thank you to Taurusplopp, which many of you know was both a moderator and our lead trainer support and live chat operator. Unfortunately the constant and never-ending barrage of negativity and animosity that people show towards our team every day was finally too much and he has chosen to take a step back and away from these duties. I don't blame him one bit. I don't think that most members realize the huge amount of stress that is put on our small team every day. Imagine going to work 7 days a week and all day long all you had were co-workers yelling at you, calling you a piece of ****, worthless human being when all you were doing was trying to help. Yes, there are the occasional members that do show their appreciation and praise, which is a much needed boost to our morale, but for the most part those people aren't having issues and so don't interact with us. We get blamed when someone's AV blocks a trainer or says it is a virus and that we ruined their computers or when they don't follow the simplest of instructions included with the trainers. It's beyond frustrating and definitely takes a toll on you after a while. This is why many of you see how myself and others on our team respond on the boards sometimes. We're not trying to be mean or unhelpful, it's just that when you get 99% negativity all day long, then that's what you start giving back, many times without even realizing it.

Anyways, Taurusplopp was an incredible addition to our team and it's devastating to see him go as he helped countless people, including us, every single day, always going above and beyond to make things right, even when people were basically spitting in his face.

For now, I will be taking over all trainer support until we can hopefully find someone that can fill his very large shoes.

But sincerely, Taurusplopp, thank you for EVERYTHING you did for our site and community. You'll never know how much it meant to all of us.

Really really sorry to hear about this! I know I always saw him helping out and answering the same questions over and over for what seems like every trainer.

I do hope he reconsiders and comes back!

I as Loki has said above, am very sorry to hear of this development. I have seen many posts by Taurusplopp here on Cheat Happens, and all of them without exception, have been constructively helpful for those having trainer issues. Also as Loki states above, I hope Taurusplopp can find it within himself to reconsider, and come back onboard - it is very clear that his roll as a staff member here, has been tremendously helpful!

Let me also add that it speaks very highly of PWizard, that he would take the time to express at length, his gratitude for what Taurusplopp has contributed to the Cheat Happens website.

I recommended Taurus for the job here at CH and he always lived up to and surpassed all expectations. He did some amazing work on the Anti Virus section here, too. He was extremely knowledgable and tried to lend a hand wherever needed no matter the topic.

We chatted almost daily and I was shocked at how often he related to me that users in chat were resorting to profanity and name calling. Going forward, I hope CH adopts a zero tolerance of that kind of behaviour with the penalty being loss of access to chat support and forums, or in extreme cases, to the site itself. There's no call for that with staff doing their level best to help the members.

I hope TPlopp continues to visit, I'm sure gonna miss him. Thanks for everything, Taurus.

Don't know if it's possible but it seems to me that any member who curses or abuses a CH moderator (anybody for that matter) should receive a swift lifetime blow from the ban hammer.

Without referring to his rank I think he is one of the most nicest, pleasant and helpful members on this site, it makes me both sad and angry to hear he was treated this way by some members.
