Trainer instantly crashes on Shogun 2: Total War PC Message Board - Page 1

Just reinstalled this game on my new rig. Whenever I try to activate the trainer before even starting the game, I get a CTD and my computer is instantly deleting the file. I'm on Windows 10 and I'm not sure what I need to do as I start up the trainer as Administrator.

I tried all of those options, when I enable the file it still crashes and then upon crashing, the file is no longer found within the folder.

It's not your computer that deletes the trainer file but very likely your security software.

Speaking of: Which Windows OS version & edition do you use and which security software? Please name the exact versions and build numbers if possible.

Good for health, bad for education.

I am using just built-in Windows Defender. I downloaded and ran this trainer with no problems. Some software on your computer is doing this, probably anti-virus, anti-malware, firewall, something..

I'm not sure what's up. I have both of your Warhammer Total War trainers and they run perfectly fine. I can't get either Shogun 2 or Rome 2's trainers to work. I've added them to windows defender exempt page and deactivated Mcafee. Is there something else you might suggest?
