Could be a bad download of the game, hard to tell would need to see your error logs and dump files to help narrow it down. Try verifying integrity of game files via steam, maybe get a fresh trainer, use a program like ccleaner to wipe unneeded info. Otherwise I would suggest a support ticket and let support conduct a teamviewer session.

This is happening to me as well. My antivirus caught the trainer and blocked it. After resolving that and adding to quarantine, the .exe opens up adobe acrobat reader (or whatever app I set to open .tmp files.

This definitely a cheathappens issue. Based on all the different forum posts I have read arounnd this issue, cheathappens has no idea what is happening. They provide boiler plate advice that doesnt fix the problem.

It's YOUR anti-virus that is causing it, I'm just using win defender and have never had this happen. You need to add the trainer itself and the following to your exclusions:

C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\Cheathappens\Work

and remove it from the quarantine list, reset the default apps in Windows and reboot PC.

Here's another boiler plate advice:

Read your security software's logs / scan history and you would be able to understand what to do. But as you're as incompetent as we are do what Cypher suggested.

Who knows, maybe this works and solves it? But how should we know about this as we have no idea.

Enemy Captains have unlimited health once the trainer is activated. Nothing hurts them whatsoever

Game may have updated for the next DLC that is upcoming, do the versions of game and trainer still match, if not then best to file a report. Looking at the branches now but don't know the last build number to see if it changed.

I used the trainer today, and had no issues.

The game still has bugs. And looks like the developer of the game included some bugs to prevent users from using trainers. There are some quests if you have the trainer active, you will not progress or get the correct cut scene, to move forward.

What you describe happen to me on one of the quests to kill the overlord. To get around it, you activate the trainer, just don't activate any of the options, till you fight the overlord.

Sometimes you have to play to see when you can have it active or not.

Start of Act 2 is perfect example, I did not know why I was not getting the option
to press "4", to advance the quest. When I did it without the trainer, I advanced. If you had trainer options on, at start of the quest., when you got to that stage, the pop up to press "4" never showed up.

So game still has bugs, still fun to play, had to turn off SLI mode to play in window mode.

Now waiting for next DLC.
