    Windows 10/i7-5820K/Obscene amounts of RAM

So I noticed you guys had put out a new version of the trainer manager and downloaded it. Upon opening it my computer froze, I had a video playing in the background, it managed to advance maybe two frames over 30ish seconds. Due to complete lack of control I restarted my computer, opened up task manager then opened the trainer manager, this time it sat normally for a few seconds, then CPU usage shot up to 99.5%, I moused over it to close it and my computer froze, I had to manually restart again.

If you have any suggestions on getting it working right without murdering my CPU and locking me out of my computer that'd be great. Else I'll stick to managing my trainers mentally.

Edit: So I left out a minor detail the first time, I had just downloaded Star Wars Battlefront 2's Trainer and had that open in the background.

Well, when I tried to open that after the restarts mentioned above, I get a message "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable."

I got the hashes of that and compared to a copy straight out of the archive and they were different, so I guess the trainer manager somehow did that?

Edit2: I was curious, so I looked at the hex data of the files to compare, the corrupted one is literally all zeros, 19MB of zeros...

it's literally possible that your harddrive has problems. I've been there before, where I blamed whatever software I had running at the time things went haywire.

The TM is READING the trainers, and only parts of them. The files it writes are away from the trainers and are CRC checks, info files, and settings files.

It's possible that one of the folders the TM uses for settings or CRC got cut off or wasn't closed correctly.

    Steps to try:

1 copy all the trainers from the my trainers folder somewhere else (usually located here C:\My Trainers) ONLY copy the trainers, NOT the stuff in the folders (like ALtNames, CRC, Favorite)
2 delete My Trainers folder (or wherever you are holding your trainers)
    3 delete the folder here:

    C:\Users\\Cheathappens\Trainer Manager

    4) run Trainer Manager again.

There is no trainers to discover so it should run fine.

    5) look for folder C:\My Trainers
    6) copy your trainers back in there.

PM me and let me know if this helped.

    best,
    Cal
