The Hero/Lord level editor always affects my heroes and lords when they hit max level, even when it's supposedly not turned on, jumping them straight to lv51 when they hit lv40. Even when being forced to use the editor to fix their level, and using the "freeze value" toggle so that this stops happening, it still happens, with lords jumping to lv51 after hitting end turn.
This is a problem, because the level cap is 40 and going over that breaks your saves. (It breaks my saves, anyway. I don't know if it's a problem for other people.)
This. The level/skill editor is messed up in this version of the trainer. Every time a Lord that has been tampered with gains xp, the levels get buggy beyond the cap.
Please use the update notification system to report a game patch, update or to report that the trainer may not be working with the latest version of the game. If 3 or more reports have been filed, consider BOOSTING the priority of this title for a faster turnaround on the updated trainer.

1 The editor seems to work completely normally in testing with campaign. Money, XP, city stuff, etc.
2 The trainer did not crash once while testing, and I tested many things.
3 "Heroes and Lords new level system is messed up. If you edit the lord's level and skills and then go to battle with them, after the battle the level will be beyond the cap and this breaks save games." <-- the editor merely lets you edit the XP, the skill points, and level. I have no idea if the game code was changed by the developers to catch cheating in battle or online, or if the game has logic vectors that break or are out of bounds now that they've added more things to the game. These options work as intended. If you know the bounds that can be used for maximum level or whatever, then do not go beyond them. I do not know these bounds.
You may just elect to use the XP to level up, or don't change the level of the character at all.

If I have an option active (ex: Faster Research, or locked in value for my treasury), and I leave in on through a turn, does the active Cheats benefit the AI factions? I swear I left the Treasury option active, and it appeared the enemy factions were utilizing it as well. I simply will not tolerate my opponents cheating while I am in the process of cheating. Its unfair.
Other than that, the Trainer works great, and I appreciate the work.
Yes, it's a known issue that if you leave options on after ending your turn the AI will get the benefits of the trainer.
