This is a good point. @PWizard do I have your permission to contact steam about them censoring our URL? To at least discuss their concerns with them? Unless you want to do it personally ofc.
:57 PM - Varacka: I would like if you can to have someone contact me to discuss the censoring of the cheathappens link on steam.
5:57 PM - Varacka: I want to try and get that stopped
5:57 PM - F: not gon na happen
5:57 PM - F: discussion has happened many times internally on the dev forums
5:57 PM - F: valve is very firm on the "we're gonna continue blocking links that serve cheat services"
5:57 PM - F: they dont care if its SP only like CH and ****** or anyone else
5:57 PM - F: they cant discriminate for legal reasons
5:57 PM - Varacka: really? devs have actually wanted to get cheat happens allowed?
5:58 PM - F: if they unban CH links then someone who sells CSGO hacks could tryt and sue to get their links unbanned too
5:58 PM - Varacka: I still want to discuss it with them
5:58 PM - F: so to be fair, ALL cheat links are removed
5:58 PM - F: and no not devs, but some mods have mentioned allowing it for singleplayer titles
5:58 PM - F: valve is very firm on the matter
5:59 PM - F: for customer/front end matters, steam support or the steam forums themselves usually handle such inquiries
5:59 PM - F: but be prepared for a hard no
5:59 PM - F: in your case steam forums would be best
So it sounds like we need to all get a campaign going on the steam forums to get the site uncensored. Would be some great publicity too.

But it's not a level playing field either. For example, Nexus Mods. If you send a link for them, you get a caution is all. Not an official Steam site, etc., then it continues on the the Nexus site.
Given the difference between having our link just removed and what you get sending Nexus Mods links, I'd much rather have the latter.
Here's some other ironies.
-Steam reposted a story in PC World about ****** (Free) Trainers awhile back.
-They give us pages for the Steam CH group.
-CH has on many occasions said that Steam is the #1 Go-to platform games. Steam has never complained about that either.
-No AV company or online website scanner finds any malware or harmful issues with the CH website.
-Virustotal has CH as 0/66. So 66 scanners say CH is safe.
But Steam & Valve won't allow even a link to the site. Yeah. Seems fair. Not hardly.
Taurus and I think maybe we should offer Gabe some RC's. XD
Actually I am talking to pwiz about a program to trade rc's for support in a steam forums camapign to get the site uncensored. I encourge you to join and help.
Btw, I don't understand the comparison to CS:GO. That game is MP thru and thru other than killing some bots but no story mode.
I have 6-7 cheat sites that aren't blocked and don't even get a warning.
But if you click a CH link in the Steam chat (if they don't remove it) you get this:
This link has been flagged as potentially malicious.
www.cheathappens.com has been flagged as being potentially malicious. For your safety, Steam will not open this URL in your web browser. The site could contain malicious content or be known for stealing user credentials.
That right there is totally false and completely unfair.
