i redeemed my RC points for a $20 steam card and i have a question...would like to use it to get the Dreadful Crimes DLC for Assassins Creed Syndicate, but i purchased my game through Uplay and i was wondering if i needed to buy the original game through steam in order for me to purchase that DLC

Sounds like Steam won't let you buy it except as a gift unless you own the base game on Steam as well. Besides, even if you've added the UP version to your Steam library, I don't see how you could install the DLC. I don't believe it will cross over like that.
You could always ask Steam Support to be sure.

All L+ monthly rewards are given out on the 1st day of the month, regardless of when you subscribed. Some rewards are given upon subscription for first timers.
Thanks Chris, that means this Oct no spin and the last time it will be on 1. Oct 2018 as i understood.
