What's the link to the Gameshark site? They haven't put out a product since what, PS2?

The Gameshark name is owned by Mad Catz. Ever since they bought it, they shut down the website and haven't made any new products. Technically still alive as Mad Catz still exists and haven't announced formal retirement of it.

I think Action Replay took up the reigns over in the console world.

    Your bitterness, I will dispel

Hey Chris are you going to get the trainer out for Divinity original sin 2 day one? I'm really super stoked for that game but I understand if you can't get the update out in time.

While its website can still be visited, according to its Wikipedia entry, Mad Catz filed for bankruptcy back in late March of this year. Link

When I read about this, my first thought was that it was an April Fools' joke...

No, site is doing better than ever, especially thanks to the thousands of members that support us through Lifetime PLUS which is why we are offering more things such as free games, t-shirts, etc with the new Reward Wheel. We also have a RC Store coming soon-ish where credits can be used to buy real-world items. Our site now outranks what was the #1 ranked cheat site in the world for over 15 years. So, thanks everyone! Your support allowed us to put out a record number of trainers last month.

Looking forward to the RC store! I like how the free t-shirt gave me 2 options - RC or the t-shirt.

I haven't seen Gameshark since forever and the people that own it now just put out hardware additions for games which, IMHO, aren't worth what they charge.

I had a GameShark and the subsequent Action Replay on several platforms (Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony), at least 6 different versions of it based on the platform, updates, etc. I haven't looked at them or touched them in years. Generally, I get/have games on the consoles either for the kids, or it's the only way to get a certain game I'd like to play, like Nintendo's Zelda series, Metroid series, or games like Battlefield, Star Wars Battlefront, etc.

Anymore, any games that I really want to work at or enjoy, I get them on PC, mainly because Cheat Happens is a simple way of hacking them for replay ability, definitely much easier than GameShark or Action Replay ever was. They were good in their time, but I can't see them ever coming back given the breadth of trainers that exist here for the PC platform, along with the support/updates given. Between PC and Xbox, I'll get a game on PC now. I don't even know at this point if Action Replay exists for the Xbox One (will have to look at that now that I saw this thread).

I'm not linking any sites, but we are talking about this topic. I always thought CheatCC was the biggest for a long time. Then actual cheat codes became no longer existent in the PS3 generation. Does anyone remember Happy Puppy? Perhaps you older gamers like me still remember that one. I believe Google still has it archived on the net. Just like N64CC or something like that, I remember it having poly morphic sound files of the Nintendo game songs like Zelda.
