I'm having the same problems.

Yes yes, done that.

It's a what if question.

So we're at the starting lites, press Num 1 to cap car info. Done. Race starts. Now can I retire from the session & go to the lappy & then do Num 7?

Should that work, cause it dosen't. Just burned Monaco to find out.

The 1.10 version didn't work for you? I wonder why it works for me. Actually, the only other thing that changed was that I purchased the game before the free weekend ended. So I wonder if the free version was different in some way? I also backed up the game and transferred it to my laptop to try it on that.

When I get home tonight, I'll see if 1.11 now works for me.

EDIT: OK just tested 1.11 and it works now also. No idea what actually fixed it.
Either the "free weekend version" was somehow different or something happened when I backed up the game on steam and went to play it again *shrug*

I thought that also about the free weekend version, so i bought and paid for the full unlock of the game from Steam.

Still same freezing and hanging error upon capturing the resource points with an open laptop.

Hello, quick update

Thanks to @DN38416, I think somehow the free weekend version might have been slightly different from the normal one.

So I tried this:
- Backup (the "free weekend" version)
- Uninstall (the "free weekend" version)
- Restore from backup
- Aand it works! No more crashing
