Yeah, unfortunately my game/trainer versions don't match....

I've just loaded my savegame again, but it doesn't matter when/where I activate the options they always "Fail" 🙁

Hopefully we'll get one more update request...

Again, the trainer works as intended with the current Steam version. There's no reason for them to update it to work with your year-out-of-date copy. Maybe try one of the older trainers?

Realisation has dawned.....my game was still in the 'public beta' channel within Steam !!

I thought I was running a newer build of the game, when in fact it was several versions behind *facepalm*

It's just done an 800Mb update and the version numbers now match.

I don't know whether the trainer is causing issues, or whether the game is just buggy as hell, but it crashes after every battle.
It's taken forever just to finish the first two levels, as I have had to replay every battle 6 or 7 times before I can move on.

I'm using the options F1, F2 and F3 (during combat).
Sometimes a battle will reach a certain point where the enemies have stopped spawning so I have to quit to the menu, and the game crashes at the loading screen.
Other times I have 100% completed the battle, click OK, and the game crashes at the loading screen.

I've been using CH trainers for years and I've never had a game crash to this extent....
Really frustrating 😣

Numpad 9: Capture Resources
This is not working - tried it and followed the instructions but not only did all my GOLD dissapear -- all GOLD i now pick up also dissapears, as in i can´t get any gold and i´m stuck at 0

any chance of a trainerversion for GOG?

You'll have to request one and it will have to be requested by others and then funded.
