Hello - just ran into a bug. I'm not sure if it's causing the trainer to crash completely, or something else.

When I launch the trainer I get a pop-up window:

Sound Card Not Present!
Trainer program errors may occur! Trainer requires a sound card present!

This error still occurs after I disable sounds for trainers in the trainer manager. It sounds like it's a very important error because of all the exclamation marks!

The trainer then decides to crash:

Now here's the reason I consider this minor opposed to ground shattering - this occurs during a Remote Desktop session, which has to play all sorts of havoc with a trainer. But I wanted to share with you regardless.

The trainers require the existence of a sound card in order to function correctly. No idea if the virtual sound card when using RDP is seen as an actual sound card to the trainers.

I'm having the same problem except, I have a sound card installed. First time it's ever happened to me.

Have you tried and updated your sound card drivers?

Sound Blaster Audigy FX with the latest drivers. Using the No Man's Sky Trainer.

Please try your on-board sound instead to see if that works.

Actually, I had the on board sound enabled first. First PC without a sound card. It didn't work. That's why I bought the sound card. It still doesn't work. I disabled the on board sound, so there wouldn't be any conflict.

The only thing I can think of, is there are conflicting sound drivers or the trainer doesn't work. No Man's Sky is the only trainer that I have on this new PC.

Could be a problem as Creative's drivers are still a mess. Please download other trainers and launch them and see if you get this error with them too.
