the trainer was made for, and the code is intercepted for, using mouse and keyboard. The trainer will never detect your joystick movements. I have no idea if using different clubs has anything to do with it, but I highly doubt it. The latest trainer posted has this reflected in the instructions

Caliber, thanks for being honest about this trainer. It is to bad you could not accommodate the joystick users, I can except that. I will find other means to hit a perfect ball with a joystick.

Note: I have DL'ed hundreds of trainers from CH and to be honest with you this is the first one I have had issues with.

the trainer does work perfectly on keyboard settings but if i change to gamepad during game the gamepad only functions in menus so its not a workaround and i would think that a hell of a lot of us use gamepads

To my fellow Golf Club 2 players, HB Studios is cracking down on cheaters. This was noted in there last update. I do not know what will happen if you are caught but I am warning you in advance. Personally I do not use the trainer anymore because of the joystick issue, I discovered a way to hit a perfect ball without the trainer.
