I was informed today that long-time CH member and moderator dstates has passed away. It was really sad when I got the news from LordVenator who heard from TMH.

I didn't know him very well, but he was always fun to have around, very helpful and seemed to be an awesome person. May his soul rest in peace.

We also were informed of this sad news earlier today but have been trying to get verification before making any kind of announcement. At this time it appears to be true and all of us are extremely saddened by his passing. He was a member with us since 2005 and a moderator for almost as long. While we didn't know him personally he was always extremely helpful and will be dearly missed. If anyone has any additional information on the situation or how we may pay our respects to the family, please do PM me.

That's horrible news. I didn't know him personally but have messaged with him over the years. He was always helpful and was just a really nice guy. He posted here not long ago and I know he was enjoying the Mass Effect Andromeda game.

Sincerest condolences to those that knew him well, he will really be missed. Please if you get any more information about this, would you kindly post it here for us.

I was very saddened when I heard what happened. Dstates was one of the first people to welcome me to CHU when I joined many years ago, and his contributions to this site have been valuable and helpful to many of us. Rest in peace, my friend. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Bro will be missed. For those asking through discord or in PM. Any information I am finding out is being sent to the admins to be deciminated. The family has asked publicly for space so please if you have the means, do not bother them.

Sadly last I heard from him was a year ago when we talked about Bleach manga and the direction it's taking. This was during his tours so he would respond any time he had access to the internet. We also talked a lot about making and customizing avatars and such, a "hobby" I have since abandoned due to real life stuff. He basically taught me almost everything I knew about editing pictures in Photoshop, he would always respond to private messages and help in any way he knew or could. To this day I don't know if he managed to read Bleach until the end or not... damn.

While I have not had much direct contact with him myself I always found him to be a great moderator and wonderfully helpful person. I will miss him. May he find the peace his existence did not. May his family heal from this great wound.
