Without any technical explanation and to answer your question:
Once the trainer is activated you will be able to load any savegame you want and it will not cause any problems later at all.

All of you guys facing error messages after patching the game to 1.0.2 can try it this way:
1. Start the trainer. 2. Start the game. 3. Activate the trainer on main menu.
It works fine for me. Also make sure you download the latest trainer obviously.

That aside, one question to you 0x90. Any way to remove the 5 character limit when you enter a map? Or will it be something the game is not built to handle?

Pour faire fonctionner le trainer il faut regarder la version de sa sauvergarde, si il est en 1.01 cela ne fonctionnera pas.
Donc charger sa sauvegarde en version 1.01 et sauvergarder afin de la passer en version 1.02. Relancer le jeu et le trainer fonctionnera.

En tout ca cela à fonctionné chez moi car meme si le jeu passe en 1.02 tes anciennes saves reste en 1.01 jusqu'à ce que tu sauvegarde à nouveau.

Not sure how best to explain this so, please, bare with me. I used the trainer to give my test character a 10 in all stats; all was well and I found out you can not solo this game - LOL! However, when I loaded it tonight, getting ready to launch for the first time to England, I find that my stats are now 8/6/10/10/10; meaning that I 'lost' 2 points from strength and 4 from endurance. I dont think it will matter, especially since this is just a test character to mess around with, but I do wonder why this happened, if it is a known issue and it it points to problems later in the game. Thanks in advance.

It is not a trainer issue. Trainer works fine. There are things in the game that may lower your stats even temporarily. For example the eating/drinking contest in Ribe. Or it may be from an injury etc.

I would assume your stats will revert to normal when the debuffs stop to exist.

Nek is right, once you get well rested/fed/uninjured your stats should be back to normal. Make camp somewhere, make sure everyone gets some food and you'll be good as new.

I will also attest to what Nektuu and Lifebleeder said. My stats also got reduced at one point in Perth. I had edited them to 10 all, and they got reduced to same as yours I think. Then when I travelled out of Perth into a camp, everything was back to 10 and has stayed that way.
