Just looking for information here, not trying to be asinine or anything. But, if it's the trainer that causes the problems, then why are the quests bugged when not using the trainer? I've never even downloaded the trainer at all yet I have the same progression bug as described here and other places.
Because @wired420 is simply a troll that loves to blame everything on our trainers even though he provides no proof and no better solution despite being a famous programmer who is actually just a coward with a superiority complex hiding behind an anonymous alias and spouting out whatever he comes up with.
The game is bugged and it just needs to be fixed by ACTUAL programmers instead of people like wired420 that simply blame the entire internet's game bugs on our trainers.
Hopefully they will release a patch to correct these issues. Heck, maybe wired420 can point out the actual bugs in their game code and create his own unofficial patch that he can send to the game devs and help out those lowly programmers that clearly lack the skills of an uber-programmer like himself.

The steps to replicate are play the game with F6 or F7 active. According to you I should record 60 hours of 100%ing the game without the trainer then 60 hours of ATTEMPTING to finish the game. No offense, but I'm not taking peoples money on the promise that something will work correctly. Not my job to waste 120 hours.
Never mind the fact that who ever made the trainer could just load it up and hit F7 and see it doesn't work and INSTANTLY KNOW that they inserted the wrong offsets (OFFSETS FOR QUEST COMPLETION CONFIRMATIONS, NOTHING TO DO WITH BUDDY PROTECTION). Tells me it wasn't even tested. Someone just assumed it would work.

So your answer is because I said so? Like I asked before, provide PROOF. You have made accusations that a trainer is damaging progression in the game, should be simple for a high level programmer such as yourself to provide evidence to back this up. If you can't I would certainly do as PWIZ advised and STFU.
What angers me about guys like this lovely (think south usa definition of lovely here :P ) troll is not that he's trolling, it's that it may cause Cheathappens trainer devs to retire the trainer for this game and ruin it for everyone else who is absolutely enjoying both game and trainer.... and btw buddy protection does work for me so I have a question for ya, have you actually enabled the trainer before trying to use this or other options? ^_^

Don't worry, that would never happen. This guy likes to complain about every trainer we make and blames anything negative in the games on it. We can easily separate the real users from the trolls.

If the test case requires 60-120 hours worth of steps to recreate the issue, then there is something horribly wrong with your test case. Considering that your estimated LOEs are not consistent nor within any reasonable margin of error of each other, it is clear that no useful analysis was done (if any analysis was done at all).
If you are a developer, you're not O&M material. Not even close.
