Personally i'm using the Carnifex pistol and the Valkyrie AR on the Explorer profile. Of course with the trainers options, you could take whatever and be fine. I've only used the Easy level option and unlimited ammo

Just so you guys know, the Easy Level option causes your squad mates to not gain skill points when you level up.

When you disable easy level and look your teammates will update to your level after either checking menu or after next engagement with foes
