Anyone who has played a Bioware title in the past knows their story arcs take time to get going, as any good story does. Least of all when it is an entirely new and unknown context. I've seen it time and time again on Twitch this week from the broadcasters who had the chance to go to Bioware and play this earlier in the development cycle. Every last one of them has stated that there is a pivotal point in the story after which the game really takes off and which is just beyond the point where the 10 hour trial forces you to quit the single player campaign.

You're right on both counts, and I agree with you everyone has their opinions and everyone don't share the same desires or likes, but saying something is universally bad is wrong in ALL cases no matter what it is and it is one thing people never really learn to understand many put out their own opinions as facts of the matter just if one other person share that same opinion. I didn't burn my hours since I need them before release as I always get really impatient the day before.

I spent my 10 trial hours the first day on the multiplayer. I then upgraded to the super deluxe edition since I see myself playing the multiplayer a lot and don't want to grind too much (probably not worth the money).

The little I saw of the single player (up until you could control your character the first time) seemed fine. I can live with ****ty facial animations if they are in the game. Somebody will probably create a mod where all characters wear a helmet and then you can happily play without seeing them.

Okey, I want to start off by saying that if you find this game enjoyable and are having a blast playing it more power to you I wish you the best and I also wish that I could as well.

That being said I refuse to say that this is the best Mass Effect game that I have seen or that it's Bioware's best RPG, in terms of scope sure it's big but how you fill that void is what makes a good game. I don't know which Witcher 3 you played, but Andromida is not in the same galaxy as Witcher in terms of anything quality wise (excuse the pun). Having problems like these really breaks my emersion in a game, and in an RPG IMHO consider it to be a cardinal sin. You see I love Mass Effect it was the first game I played that I genuinely cared about everyone in it and the first game that you could feel the developer wanting and working for you to care.

I love it so much that I want it to be great I want Bioware games to be the standard of western RPG, at least in terms of writing great characters for god's sake remember Sovereign's talk on Virmire? I do:

We impose order on the chaos of organic evolution. You exist because we allow it, and you will end because we demand it.

Meanwhile in MEA: Something about sweet sweet implants..

What happened? Also here's another video: Link.

Lastly, please don't take this personally I stress that if you are having fun great for you, but I want more from my games and I know that Bioware can do better because they have. This post and the thread is for those who believe that as well and to let them have an idea of what to expect.

    Best regards to everyone.

    Best regards to everyone.

What are the problems that break your immersion, out of curiosity? I haven't had the first bug or crash, everything has been rock solid and smooth both in single player and multiplayer at least for me.

I found the animation to be cringy, and the voice acting subpar, not for everyone but enough to get under my skin. But most of all it didn't get me invested at all.

It's been mentioned repeatedly there'll be a Day 1 patch to fix the animation quibbles. As for the voice acting, I doubt there's much to be done about that now but if some of the biggest name in voice acting can't satisfy you, I doubt much of anything will. Best of luck.

what exactly does MP consist of, is it wavebased against AI, or is it some kind of pvp deathmatch?

im asking cause im lingering between deluxe and super deluxe, and the only thing super has extra, is MP stuff
