I've downloaded the latest trainer and tested it with latest game version and it works fine. The item cheat has been reworked so it affects all items not only the selected. It sounds like you were using an old trainer:

Guys, I've got an oddball problem... The cheats seem to all work well enough on the game, but for some reason, I clicked "Unlimited Items" way early on in the game, and now I am stuck playing through the game with only "Pocket Sand", "Bolts", and "Acid Solution"... Literally only those 3. I try to Craft a new item and it tells me that I already have the maximum number (5/5)... What the hell is going on with this game? Is it bugged or what? Has anyone else seen this? I'd love to see what an Acid Trap does, or any of the other things... On a side note, I have plenty of Lockpicks and doors seem to open up easily enough...



EDIT- Figured it out. The trainer essentially LOCKS the items at 5, but if you don't have the item built first, it'll prevent it from ever being created.

Another AWESOME trainer as always guys. I have exactly the same problem as vertigo1md1032. I used the Unlimited Items early on in the game and once it was on, I could not pick up any new items that I did not have in my inventory. I had sand & bolts & could not pick up anything else. Aside from all the standard troubleshooting practices, I disabled the cheat-no help, closed the trainer-no help. Reloaded the game without the trainer & still can't pick anything new up. I am locked in to what I had when I turn the Unlimited Items cheat on. I restarted a new game & acquired a couple other items before using the Unlimited cheat & the same thing happens. Can't pick up new items & no way to craft what I don't have. My last savegame did not upload for some reason.

The trainer is not out of date. It works perfectly except for one thing. It permanently locks all Items Not in your inventory so that you cannot pick up or create them in order to add them to your inventory so that you can actually use the item. You end up never being able to use those item not already in your inventory & the lock out stays with the savegame. The only way to undo it is to start a new game & not use the Unlimited Items(3) in the Trainer.

Update: How is this for an idea? Could you add an option to reduce all items by 1 if the Unlimited items is turned off? That way you would be able to pick up new items to add to your inventory. Problem solved maybe?

To Taurusplopp...OK, this gets little complicated by text, but here goes. This is my earliest save.Save has Styx on stairs. At bottom of stairs is a lockpick on a crate. You can't pick it up because the Unlimited Items has been used previously "impossible to carry more of this type of item". Use middle mouse button to show current selectable inventory, no lockpicks yet. Use Tab key then select CRAFT, there are two items picked up before the Unlimited Items was used and 7 empty dots for items not acquired yet. Lockpicks are one of them and will be 3/3 even though you cannot see it. Reducing all items by 1 would allow you to pick up the lockpick & add it to the CRAFT list at the same time. Lockpicks are not selectable on the Inventory wheel because it is an auto-use item. Other items must be selected there in order to use them such as a glass pitcher which also can't be picked up. There are items that can't be crafted & only picked up and that are both craftable & can be picked up. Here's the savegame & I can start a new game if needed. Thanks.

For those of you having issues with not being able to get new items with using the unlimited items cheat too early, I've found a workaround that works, but takes a little more cheating than some may like. If you are stuck with just daggers and acid solution, cheat to save up a ton of skill points, and head to the alchemy tree and just unlock all the craftables. When you get to the very top of the tree, there's a master skill called "Vagabond's Carryall" that increases the maximum number of items you can carry. Make sure the unlimited items cheat is OFF before you select it, and your max will have changed and viola, you now no longer have the max of every damn thing and can craft the new items you've been wanting to try! Also, please note : the items you have unlocked will show up as 3/5 in your inventory, but you WON'T actually have any, you'll have to craft at least one of each to "Unlock" them.

I just started playing this a few days ago and the trainer is working great. Only thing I am noticing is that I am at the part of killing the embassador and I fail it every time as if his body just vaporizes. I am unable to complete the mission. can anyone help?
