Hey guys, maybe someone can help me out.. I was dumb and accidentally hit F1 to activate the trainer while internet was still running and of course it closed the game immediately like it should. But now, I can't get the game to launch at all, period. Even without the trainer. It won't even launch normally now. It goes through the normal syncing with cloud and starts to run the game and steam says the game is running and then it just stops running. Do you think I might have ruined my certificate or something doing this and I might have to buy another copy of the game? Any help would be appreciated! I have tried reinstalling the game. I have tried re-installing Uplay. I have tried deleting Uplay cache. I have tried verifying files. I have tried pretty much any fix I could find online.. I had to of triggered something when I tried to activate the trainer while online or something because the game loaded fine that first time until I did that. LoL.

After all this: Are you launching the game through the Desktop shortcut or directly through the Steam client?

I have tried through Steam, through Uplay, through the exe in the files, and I have tried launching from the desktop. It all does the same thing. Uplay goes through its syncing process of achievements and cloud saves. Prepares to launch game, the game say running in steam and then it just crashes. No error or anything.

Go here,

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Wildlands\EasyAntiCheat

run the EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe

launch game with no trainer, if it goes then close once it says connected to Ubisoft servers then launch it again per instructions provided with the trainer.

still nothing, does the same exact thing... the one thing I haven't tried yet that I have seen somewhere while searching is maybe the game has to be installed on the same hard drive that my OS is on?.. you think this really would matter? I have resisted trying this because it just doesn't seem to make sense to me because I have run the game on a different one before.. edit: Just for the hell of it I tried moving the game to my OS hard drive. Still nothing.. I am stumped

If it is on an external HD that uses USB, 9 times outta 10 ubi-games will fail, they just don't get along.

It is better to have game installed on same drive as steam/uplay, your issue may require a re-install from scratch. Uninstall the game run a registry cleaner, something like ccleaner will do, reboot then re-install.

PS always keep a backup of game from steam/uplay when dealing with EAC and trainers, saves time if re-installs are needed
